Barbecued spare ribs

4 spare rib chops
1 tblsp oil
salt and pepper
2 level tsp cornflour or arrowroot
1¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp yeast extract
1 tblsp vinegar
2 tblsp tomato ketchup
1 level tsp curry powder
1 level tblsp brown sugar

Brush chops with oil, season and grill on each side for about 7 minutes. Transfer to a casserole dish.

Pre-heat oven to 170º C (350º F, gas mark 4) .

Blend remaining ingredients together and heat in a small pan, stirring continuously until thickened. Pour over chops.

Bake for 1 hour.
