15g butter 1 small onion, chopped 30g flour 1 level tblsp Worcestershire sauce 1 level tblsp mushroom ketchup 1 clove garlic, crushed 250g tinned tomatoes, chopped 1 bay leaf 250ml stock |

Fry onion and garlic gently in the butter for 5-7 minutes.
Stir in flour and cook for a further minute or so.
Add stock a little at a time, then remaining ingredients.
Bring to the boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve hot.
