125g self raising flour 60g vegetable suet a pinch of salt 1 tblsp chopped fresh herbs or 1 tsp dried herbs (optional) water to mix |

Mix dry ingredients. Add enough water to make a dough.
Place on a floured board and divide into 8 pieces. Roll each into a ball.
Add to stews for the last 20 minutes of the cooking time. Cover and cook for 10 minutes without pressure. Turn dumplings, re-cover and cook for a further 10 minutes.
