Vegetable Recipe:

4 Servings


500g (1 lb) red cabbage
60g (2 oz) butter
4 cloves
1 tblsp vinegar
60g (2 oz) sultanas
2 level tblsp brown sugar
salt & black pepper

Pre-heat oven to 170º C (350º F, gas mark 4).

Shred cabbage, wash and drain.

Melt butter in pan, add cabbage, cloves, vinegar, sultanas, sugar, salt and pepper. Stir to mix.

Cover pan. Bake in the coolest part of the oven for 2 hours until tender.

Serve hot.
